Today, 93% of all young people are on some form of social media. Its broad, pro-con effects are known by almost everyone. What strikes harder is the algorithmic speak people have developed -- today, we speak in trends and not thoughts. This is okay for fashion and memes, but insanity for important subject matters -- governance, policy, justice. We are completely gripped by one controversy until another comes up, कलेश after कलेश, reel after reel -- a pattern of short-term thinking emerges, more focused on emotions than rationality. Hate, bad policy and forgetfulness eventually takes over and any semblance of normal thinking is considered extreme. Any thought which does arise, is algorithmic and not independent. Opinions are fed and consumed readily, thinking is considered a chore. At AITEO, we want to fight this. We offer a free, equitable platform for anyone who wants to share their own thoughts.
